Film Scoring / Cinematic Composition
Music that moves with the story.
My background in musical theatre and dramatic composition allows me to approach every frame with a focus on character and subtext. I specialize in dialogue-driven underscores and cinematic arrangements that enhance the emotional arc of the narrative without competing for space.

An Taibhse (Feature Film)
This was my second full-length feature film, comprising approximately 54 individual pieces of music woven together to form a cohesive score. The project presented a deep creative challenge: sculpting a sonic landscape that captured director John Farrelly’s vision. After extensive workshopping, we settled on a clear sonic palette and moved into full production. The score was completed over several months and delivered within deadline. I co-wrote the music with Tom Dunne, who also played a key role in managing the scale and complexity of the project. The film has since been screened internationally and continues to receive awards.

The Sleep Experiment (Feature Film)
The Sleep Experiment was my first large-scale project and my first full film score. The majority of the music is original, with a small number of reimagined pieces included at the director’s request. Some well-known works were adapted and subtly reinterpreted to suit the film’s tone. Developing the original score took time and close collaboration, and by working closely with my co-writer Tom Dunne—who also managed much of the project timeline—we were able to deliver a score that fully realised John’s vision.

I'm here to say goodbye - Podcast Musical
This long-form podcast musical began with songs and arrangements by Lauryn Gaffney and Jake Curran. I developed and expanded the material into full songs and handled all vocal editing. The project was produced remotely, with mixing and mastering by Niall Woods at Porchlight Studios, Dublin.
